Abbie's Medical Exam
January 23, 2010

Every adopted child needs to have a medical exam in Guangzhou as part of the paperwork needed to fly back to the U.S.A. Today was Abbie's turn. Welcome To Our Journal

We are happy that you have chosen to follow our amazing journey of adoption. Little did we realize, in July 2005 when this process started, that more than 3 years would have passed without completion of our family. The incredibly long waiting time has been difficult to endure, but we know in our hearts that eventually we will hold Abbie in our arms. We have a beautiful daughter, Jennifer, from China who proves every day that all things do happen in God's time. We pray for continued patience from our Heavenly Father as each day passes and the wait goes on.

Squeaky shoes are worn by Chinese children to encourage them to learn to walk. Just as squeaky shoes carry a child into new experiences, so do the steps of adopting our second daughter carry us into a wonderful new beginning as a family. While each day with Jennifer brings new joy and happiness into our lives, her little sister, Abbie, may be just beginning her life in China.

Isaiah 43:5 "Do not fear for I am with you; I will bring your offspring
from the east and gather you from the west."

We ask you first to pray for us and the child the Lord has chosen for us. Also, please pray for her birthparents, as the decision they have made or are about to make must be heartbreaking.

We welcome you on our journey and encourage you to share your thoughts and feelings with us as we travel together into a new beginning as a family.

When a child is born, invisible red threads extend from the child's spirit and connect to all the significant people who will be part of the child's life. As the child grows, the threads shorten, drawing closer those people who are destined to be together.
