The Matherly's Ladybug Pursuit - Mia on our minds!!!!

Welcome To Our Journal

We are so glad that you are joining us on this ladybug pursuit. The pursuit began in August 2004! After a visit to All God's Children International, we decided that this was the pursuit that God had designed for us. After turning in our application, we spent an entire year trying to raise the funds to adopt our little ladybug from china. We are forever greatful to all of you who have contributed money, time and prayer to make our dream of adoption a reality. In August of 2005 we began the paperchase, which was quite a pursuit indeed. But we kept our eye on the dream of holding our little ladybug and marched on. After some snags and delays, our dossier was delivered to the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) on February 14, 2006. We later found out that our dossier was logged in on March 3, 2006! The original thought was that we would receive a referral in September 2006. Well, here we are, eleven months later and still in hot pursuit of the ladybug. The wait is like a roller coaster. But, have you ever seen a ladybug fly???? They do not take a straight path and that is what makes their journey appear so fun. This should catch you up to date. The rest of the pursuit will play out in our blog. We would love for you to join us, however, we must warn you, that emotions run high and low on this pursuit and there is no telling what you might read from day to day. The chronicles of the ladybug pursuit, will be right here until the day we bring our little Mia bug home.
