Welcome To Our Journal
Welcome to part two of our adoption journey! As many of you already know, we are in the process of adopting a little girl from Ukraine. We met Inna when we were in Khmelnytsky, Ukraine in November 2007 adopting our son, Nathan. We fell in love with her immediately and actually enquired about adopting them both. We were told it was not possible to adopt unrelated children.
We never stopped thinking and talking about Inna, and in May 2008 we decided to look into the possibility of adopting her. Come to find out, she had been moved but no one seemed to know where! Trying to find one small child in Ukraine is not an easy task! But God is on our side and He has put some amazing people in our lives that have been a tremendous help (We love you Dennis and Max!)
We located her in late 2008 we began correspondence with the SDA to make sure she was available for adoption and to try to learn more about her medical issues. It was made very clear to us both that we were to adopt Inna, there are actually some pretty funny stories that are just short of God poking His head through the clouds and saying "I said adopt Inna!"
We began the paperwork in spring of 2009 and now here we are! Our dossier submission date is September 29, 2009 and we should have a travel date later that same week. They have changed the process a bit, we had six weeks notice before travel with Nathan but this time we will likely have about two weeks!
People often ask us, "Are you prepared to adopt a six year old child with some pretty extensive physical needs?" Our answer...God will prepare us. There really is no way to prepare for a situation that you know very little about. We have complete faith in God and we know this is what He wants us to do. Therefore, He will provide us with the tools and resources we need to give Inna the best care we can.
Right now all we know is that our daughter is in Ukraine and we can't wait to get her home!
Welcome to our continuation of our journey and thanks for following along!
P.S. If you looked at the title of this journal you probably said "What the heck is GoldenEye-na? Well Robert is a big James Bond fan and we used "From Russia With Love" for the title of the first journal. We wanted to continue with the Bond them, but Inna doesn't easily fit into most phrases. Be glad we went with GoldenEye-na, you could be reading "For Your Eye-na Only!"

Personal Information
Kelly and Robert Daniel
Nashville, TN
We are Robert and Kelly Daniel and we live in Nashville with our 3 1/2 year old son Nathan. We have been married for almost five years and we are blessed beyond belief!
We started the adoption process in December 2005 with plans to adopt from Russia, but God had other plans and He eventually led us to Ukraine. In November 2007 we packed all of our cold weather gear (which wasn't much and wasn't near enough!) and flew to Kiev. We came home 42 days later with the most amazing little boy you could ever know.
Nathan has been the most amazing blessing! Anyone that knows us knows that he is definitely our son! He is smart, determined and good looking with a wicked sense of humor and a budding love of the guitar (pronounced gee-tar) and Keith Urban. We thank God every day for bringing him into our world.
So right now we are a family of three with two Basset hounds but before the year is up we will have grown by one little six year old girl with brown pigtails and a killer smile! Life is definitely good!
