It's a boy!

Yup, it's a boy. His name is Yang Tao and he was born October 4, 2009 and found in Baotou City which is Inner Mongolia (just west of Beijing). We're very excited and hope to travel in November. We haven't decided on a name yet so we will keep you posted on that.

Welcome To Our Journal

We are the Belchaks - John, Jolene, and Lorna. Over the past year, we have used this blog to update you on our family life, and have posted updates on our upcoming adoption as they come. It has been an incredibly hard wait, but the Lord is always faithful, and His timing is always best. We constantly remind ourselves that He is in control, not China. In James 1:4 it says "Let patience have it's perfect work, and you will be perfect and complete, lacking nothing". And in Mark 10:27 it says "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God, all things are possible". And lastly, Isaiah 43:5 says "Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west".
Our Log In Date (LID) is June 19, 2006. We pray that our little Lacey Grace will soon be home, but as of this Christmas, she is only in our hearts. Our family motto is "We are marked for Blessing, and the favor of God is upon us!"
