Welcome To Our Journal
Welcome to our adoption website! Here is an excerpt from our first entry on this website about two years ago. At that time, we knew nothing about Nick or Alex. "We do not always know what is coming up next on this journey. What we do know is who is driving our "car" through this process. We trust our Heavenly Father to take us to our destination safely and in His perfect time. The road that God selects is always best for us. We know that we could not get through this process without the daily presence of Jesus Christ in our lives. We hope that this site will give Him praise and honor." Well, we definitely did not know what was coming. In October of 2005, we felt like God was leading us to adopt a child from China. We knew there were many baby girls available for adoption in China. So in March of 2006, we began the process to adopt a little baby girl from China. We decided we would name her Rylie- a combination of our names. We worked for the rest of the year on paperwork and finally submitted our paperwork to China in January 2007. We had no idea God already had picked out our son for us and he was living in an orphanage in Henan, China. In April, we saw Nick's picture and both agreed "That is our son." We found out by early May we would be able to move forward with adopting him. We waited to tell most people until after Julie's sister's wedding in June, so the information on our journey to get Nick begins in the June 2007 journal entries (on the left side bar). We brought Nick home in August 2007. We announced in January 2009 that we would be returning to China to bring home a little brother for Nick. The referral information for Alex is posted below since he is our most recent addition. In February 2008, we decided that life with Nick was so wonderful, we wanted to begin the process to adopt again. We saw Alex's picture that summer, but it took a little longer to get all the paperwork completed. We brought Alex home on July 5, 2009. To see updates on the boys, please visit our blog at www.alexandnick.blogspot.com. Nick and Alex love to play together and are becoming best friends. It is amazing how God has brought them both into our lives. We love them so much and cannot imagine our lives without them. It seems the road to Rylie has stopped here, but I guess we never know what God has in store.

Personal Information
Ryan and Julie Pruett Festus, Missouri Email: ryliebags@sbcglobal.net We would like to thank everyone who has been so supportive to us through this process. We really appreciate those of you who visited this site and followed along on our journeys to bring home Nick and Alex. We know they will love reading all the messages that were posted. May God bless you all! The journey continues at www.alexandnick.blogspot.com. "How blessed is God! And what a blessing He is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in Him. Long before He laid down earth's foundations, He had us in mind, and settled on us as the focus of His love, to be made whole and holy by His love. Long, long ago He decided to adopt us into His family through Jesus Christ." Ephesians 1:3-5 (The Message) "From beginning to end he's there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universepeople and things, animals and atomsget properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross." Colossians 1:18-20 (The Message) Alex's favorite Bible verse: 'For nothing is impossible with God'. Nick's favorite Bible verse: 'For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.'
