Finding Ad
The Earliest Record of Grace
April 21, 2006
Here are a couple photos of Grace's finding ad. There is a close-up of her ad and the full page where her ad was located. I placed an arrow to identify her ad. (Click on the images to enlarge them)
Her ad reads, "Zhoung Lu Kang, a girl, Birthdate: 7/21/05, Finding date: 7/22/05, Found abandoned at the gate of the orphanage. She has an oval face, thick hair and light skin."
"Since 1999, the orphanages in China are required to run a provincial newspaper advertisement for children that are found and brought to their orphanage. These ads contain information about where and when the children were found and which orphanage is caring for them."
This is a quote from Research-China, an organization that tracks down and acquires the paper where your child's "finding ad" was located.
This ad of Grace is the earliest record we will ever have of her. We are thankful that it was found.
It continues to amaze me the mass of faces that represent children who need homes. What you see to the left is only one page from one province that publishes a block of ads several times a year.
I want so badly to adopt more of them.
