Ode to a Dead Tree
April 28, 2006

It is with great pleasure that we announce the completion of our paperwork (at least here in the states). Many trees have given their lives to get little Grace home.

Yesterday, Tricia and I drove four hours to Charlotte, NC to have our fingerprints redone as they have expired since we last had them taken over a year ago. After a relatively short wait we were pleased that all of our fingers passed. We received our receipts and drove back home.

Upon arriving home we had a FedEx package waiting for us from our agency. It included our official travel letter (you can see it to the left, and I welcome you to translate it for us), along with our passports and visas.

Today I finished photocopying the paperwork we need to take. In addition I made a duplicate set to tuck away just in case. I feel a lot more secure with a backup copy.

Time is ticking away as we near our travel date.

Shannon,
Your so organized and I'm completely freaked about the paperwork we need to bring. I know it's a short list - but could you let me know all the documents you are bringing to China with you so I can be sure I'm not forgetting anything? You can e-mail or post on Yahoo.

Blessings to your whole family!
