The testing of your faith...
...produces steadfastness.

The past month has been marked with trials. Almost all of these testings can be characterized as punches to the midsection, and (I know this will surprise many of you) they have involved both of our vehicles.
Within the course of two weeks the transmission in both our van and car went into "safe mode" which meant they were stuck in gear. And although we could reverse, park and drive we could only limp to the places we needed to go. Therefore, we had to have them repaired.
Long story short...We were hit with $4,000+ in bills. Ay-carumba!
When I was receiving calls from the mechanics, I was ready to run my head into the wall; however, over the course of a few days the Holy Spirit did a number on me and began to show me how little I trusted God where the rubber meets the road. I realize that whether it's $40 or $4,000 or more that it's nothing for God and He is the same One who gives and takes away. My privilege is to simply trust Him and see what great and mighty things He will do.
I do admit that I am prone to forget these lessons as fast as I've learned them, but I'm counting on the grace of God to help me grow.
Please pray for us specifically that God will produce steadfastness in our lives and that we will humbly submit to His leadership and trust in Him.
