April 29, 2006

This report came with Grace's referral. I had meant to enter it sooner but forgot.
________

Zhuang Lukang, female, forn on July 21, 2005, was found abandoned at the gate of the Social Welfare Institute of Yifeng county on July 22, 2005. Zhou Shaohong, one of our employees, found her on the way to work. She phoned Chengdong branch of the county police station. Then the infant was sent to the Infant Department of our institute. At her entrance, she wore black cotton coat and green cotton trousers. She had a melon-seed-shaped face, double eyelids, thick hair, and white skin. Her weight was 2.4 kg, height 43 cm, head circumference 33cm, and chest circumference 33 cm. According to the medical exam, she developed normally. Yao Yiguo, person in charge of the institute, looked up the dictionary and named her Zhuang Lukang. Her birth date was estimated according to her physical developments.

Under the fine feeding and caring of her "mom", Kangkang developed normally. At the age of one month, she cried aloud, sucked vigorously and swallowed quickly. At the age of two months, she raised her head when lying on the stomach or standing upright. She saw clearly the surroundings and chased the moving objects with her eyes. She would stop all her actions to listen to the bell. She moved her limbs rather vigorously. When being teased, she waved her arms and feet in excitement. At the age of three months, she kept her head upright and steady. She could lie on the stomach steadily, resting not only her head but also her weight on the forearms, and raise her upper chest. Sometimes the baby appears to be rather quiet, enjoying her "mom" talking to her in a soft voice. But in other times, she appears to be active and restless, enjoying her mom taking her outside to play. When an acquaintance teases her, she makes loud sounds like "gu gu" or even giggles aloud. She's especially adorable.

The baby lives a regular life. She takes milk powder as the staple food. She has six meals a day, 120 ml each time. Her meals are scheduled at 7:00, 10:00, 12:00, 16:00, 21:00, and 24:00. She gets up at 6:30 and goes to bed at 21:00. She has a one-hour nap in the morning and in the afternoon. The baby is healthy, never catching any disease.
