When they heard it was time for us to go, Gidget and Slinky jumped right in to help (at least they stayed out of the way).


Three days isn't much time to pack. Luckily I had packed a lot back in July when we were planning on leaving in August. This bag - full of OTC meds and other "supplies" - was ready to go!


High-maintenance Laura has left the building. This is EVERY piece of clothing I packed for two weeks! Seriously! I can hardly believe it myself.








And this is everything I packed for Ed.





Already, the baby is far more important. His pile is three times the size of each of ours, yet he's one sixth the size!







Normally, my makeup alone would fill two of these! Instead, these are both Ed's and my toiletries for the entire trip!

And here is all is. Lest you think we overpacked, both of the huge duffle bags (the black one and the blue one) are all items to be donated to the oprhange. So, really, two big checked bags and a few carry-ons isn't too bad!

And for those of you who are wondering, no, Ed was not particularly thrilled with the pink and blue luggage theme. However, like I told a friend, she who buys the luggage, shops for all of the contents of the luggage, and organizes & packs said contents into the luggage, selects the color of the luggage. And really, I was being quite considerate - I really wanted the pink luggage with blue "accessories."
