Welcome To Our Journal
Welcome to the adventures of the Hays family! We began this journal in 2006 when we were bringing home our son, Leo, from Russia. Leo finally came home in March 2007, followed almost exactly two years later by 3 year old Kai, who joined our family in March 2009. We have continued this journal to chronicle life in our busy and active family with 8 children and sometimes more, depending on the number of foster children we have at the moment! Adoption has always been an important part of our family. I think David Platt, in his book, Radical, sums it up best when he says, "Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they're not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes." So yes, our lives are once again changing as our family journey continues! Please follow along us as we travel to Thailand this summer (2011) to bring home our 5 year old son!
