Welcome To My Journal
“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name, welcomes me;…” Matthew 18:5
I prayed for this child and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27
“He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the kind intention of His will to the praise of the glory of His grace, which is freely bestowed on us In the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:5-6
Fifteen years ago, God planted the seed of adoption in my heart. From that seed, has grown a love and desire to adopt an orphan. Knowing and trusting God, I bought a little white dress in which to dedicate my baby girl. Although the time has turned the satin trim into a soft yellow, I will still use this little, white dress with the yellow trim to dedicate the daughter, which grew in my heart, to the Savior and Lord of my life.
In honor of my parents and friend I have named my baby girl, Jolee. The “J” in her name is taken from my dad’s first name, Joseph, the “O” is derived from my mom’s middle name, Ophelia and the last part of her name “lee” is from my longtime friend, Mr. David Lee.
I am using OLOS (Over Land Over Sea) as my wonderful homestudy agency, which is based in Chandler, Arizona. Thank you to Polly and Carole for not discriminating against this older, experienced mom!
Walk with me as I travel to my precious baby girl, Jolee and see how she grows in this coming year. Please welcome this precious baby into your prayers and heart, knowing that we, also, are “adopted” into the kingdom of God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
May the seed of adoption grow in your hearts as you follow on this exciting travel adventure with Jolee and I, her mommy, Joan.
